Set the dimension of the material which you will use for cutting. For example, I used 600*300 MDF having 3.4mm thickness sheet.I edited the dimension in mm.
Parts notch thickness was very thick but it,s good for pressfit and I am so happy my pressfit design
Assembly |
My design is complete pressfit |
Then I take transparent paper for wrapping on the plate outside because I us the natural fiber and it in irregular shape so I put the transparent paper on plate and fix it
Next step epoxy hardener and resin-:
Epoxy resin comes in two part, one of which is hardener and other one is resin itself. Both individually can't do anything, when they are mixed the curing process starts and then after curing period it becomes rock solid. Curing time depends upon the environmental parameters which are:
-Temperature
-Humidity
-Ratio of hardener and resin
I was used epoxy and hardener blow is image .
This is mould and jute I used it with resin
Burlap
Burlap has not received quite the same level of respect as its cousin canvas, but it can be used for similar purposes. Tote bags made of this fabric often replace paper or plastic as an ecological choice for grocery packing. Burlap is also biodegradable, which means all of those potato and apple sacks should eventually disintegrate without harm to the environment. Using jute and hemp fibers also keeps these alternative industries economically viable.
I am using burlap sheet |
My design size burlap sheet |
Then I take the epoxy and hardener its ratio is 1:2 I put that on the dish I tapping at all the side then I put the water bag and the resin equally distributed around the mould
I am using 4 layer burlap |
Each layer properly using the ratio |
These are the material I had used in composite resin and hardener is in 1:2 ratio
We are working in group-
In this case I used 3 layer of jute first i apply resin on dish then put on that jute then apply resin again and for finishing i again apply resin .
Final shape for plate
This is the vacuum bagging setup which we have in our Lab.
Once the layering is done, I clamped the composite under vacuum bag.
After 6 hr I remove my composite from the mold and it become hard and good for future use
My Final mold
Final mold |
Then i cut Out side parts |
my mould and final plate |
